We Keep You Rolling—Since 1991
Gettysburg Bicycle & Fitness began as one rider’s dream and has grown into the cycling hub of Adams County. Jes Stith opened the shop in 1991, having raced competitively through the 1980s and early 1990s. He saw a need for expert service, trusted brands, and real rider support—and he’s been delivering all three ever since. In 1999, the shop relocated to its current location on Third Street and now anchors a full-service operation that focuses on bike sales, repairs, and community rides.
Jes also founded the Michaux Endurance Series, a local race tradition that began with “Big Flat” in 1996 and expanded into a three-race challenge. Gettysburg Bicycle has been at the center of the local racing scene ever since, blending deep roots with next-level service.

Jes Stith — Owner
Jes has been racing and wrenching since the '80s and brings a lifetime of bike knowledge to the shop. He holds Trek Certification in bike fitting and built Gettysburg Bicycle into the region’s go-to source for competitive mountain and road bikes. Jes rides: Yeti ASR, Trek Project One Superfly 100, Specialized Epic Evo FSR, Trek Émonda SLR.

Kent Anderson — Manager
Kent joined the shop in 2005 and leads its fitting and service programs. A Penn State grad with a BG FIT Masters certification and Level One Trek Certification, Kent raced downhill and cross-country bikes from 2000–2008. He’s the reason so many local riders find the perfect fit. Kent rides: Trek Session, Yeti 160e, Pivot Point, Trek Superfly 100, Superfly SS.

Pat Reisinger — Tech & Trail Guide
Pat started in 2022 after falling in love with the trails at Michaux. A local rider through and through, Pat’s often seen commuting around Gettysburg or hitting the woods with his dog, Leo. His go-to bikes? Ripmo AF and Van Dessel Aloominator.

Cheryl Sorenson — Sales & Support
Cheryl raced mountain and road bikes competitively in the 1990s and early 2000s, taking podiums in national events such as the NUE Series, Gran Fondo National Championships, and Trans-Sylvania Epic. She returned to the shop full-time after years of mentoring young riders—and still rides strong. Cheryl’s current quiver: Pivot Firebird, Trek Émonda SL 7, Specialized Rockhopper SS, S-WORKS Crux.

Shop Dogs
Because every great bike shop needs a great greeting committee. Meet Koda and Rue, the shop’s four-legged ambassadors. Most days, they’ll be the first to welcome you at the door.
